Combatting the Enemy

I am much like a disappearing act with the blog. First, I was under the bombardment of the most irritating sort of spam. The server cut my blog off - informing me that the cgi-bin is corrupting because of the spam script. So, I thought the blog was lost forever.
I spent weeks converting this MT blog to its Wordpress counterpart, but CSS gave me a headache and I had to give it up too.
Miraculously, the blog is functioning again, though I am still combating spam on an hourly basis.
My instincts tell me its time to upgrade to Movable Type 3.31.
I think I shall follow them, and see you once the enemy is conquered.

Ahoy, Mate!

And the ship sails again, after much trials and tribulations. For some reason, the blog always lets me down when I most need it - but it too is just a puppet at the hand of the spammers. The spam attack was pretty severe and crashed most of the blog on its own.
Anyway, enough for the headlines. Talking of headlines, it is kind of weird how these 24/7 news channels actually come up with so much content to fill themselves up with. Gone are the days when 9 o'clock news lasted only an hour - but could somehow provide more informative concensus on the happenings around the world. Now, it seems like even 24 hours run short to provide the mass of news they have to impart.
A few days ago, the unlucky little boy Prince fell down a 50ft hole. He was rescued successfully only after 50 odd hours. And the news channels made good money out of it - giving live coverage for entire span of time. And its just taking it a step further by asking the kid's parents -

'How do you feel about your child being stuck at the bottom of the pit?'
'Who do you blame for this incident?'
'Do you think you should be reimbursed by the Government?'
'What does your wife feel about all this?'

Well, what can I say - I do believe however that nowadays everybody can achieve their 15 minutes of fame, pretty easily...

I have Seven Kids!

For those of you who are awe-struck at the very thought of a normal woman delivering seven kids, I would ask you to hold your horses. About seven months back I initiated a programme for kids between the ages of 3 to 7 called Crayons Kids Club.
The Club aims at making a child's journey of growing up more adventurous, enriching and a lot of fun. Run solely by yours truly, I've had little success explaining parents the importance of 'fun' in a child's life - but have received satisfaction in numerous giggles, uncontrollable fits of laughter and knowing that a few hours at The Club is what they really look forward to.
Only recently did I graduate the seven little angels from the Summer Programme - it was a month full of fun and frolic.

On one of these days little Aseem (4) and Ishika (6) started to argue:

A: I am taller than you are.
I: That is such a lie. I am so much taller than you are!
A: I have stronger arms than yours!
I: Do you see my muscles? They are so much stronger than yours!
A: Wanna fight and see?
I: Yea, sure!

I hate to cut the fun - but I seriously don't want any kids going home with nosebleeds!
Ah, the innocence of childhood...
