+'s friend H, when in town in September, had the exciting adventure of waiting at a long red traffic light. While we were stuck there and lost in deep conversation, he witnessed many hawkers convincingly trying to sell magazines. As they made attempts to allure him with magazines ranging from Filmfare to India Today, he suddenly turned towards + and blurted, "Wow man, what a country. These guys don't even have product differentiation. If one guy's selling magazines, the other ones should sell something else, you know!"
Well, marketing is not one of our strong points...

I strongly object, marketing is our strong point... and when i say that includes strategy as well, remember how Prasoon Joshi of Mc-Er changed the meaning of 'Thanda' to 'CocaCola', and if we look beyond advertisements, and you look for the global indians you will have a combination of techies and marketing strategy gurus, CKP, Indra Nooyi, to quote a few...
So i didnt liked u makin a statement, rather i didnt expected this from ya when we talk about india as a whole lets be a little more careful, when your blog is been read by god know who and from where,
no denying ur sentence is to be taken in a good spirit... ;)

hmm, well.. selling one product at one place is good thing.. because customer gets different range of same products and also competition between shops so that ppl are able to avail discounts and stuffs.. so there has to be many ppl selling same kinda stuff but different range in same product..
