The first day of the no-talking week was pretty alright. + called half a dozen times all day to find me not replying at my end of the phone. Finally giving up, he told me he won't call anymore, lest I should seek the error of my ways.
So on day two, he really didn't call. It was then that I realized life is much of a waste without + and called him on day three to ask why the hell didn't he call me the day before.
All said and done, I hope this will keep my threats in genuine condition. Next time I warn about not talking for a week, he can be rest assured I'd keep it halfway.
My computer conked out because I was too lazy to get a new UPS. Conked out as in dead. The motherboard and hard disk climbed the stairs to heaven leaving me in sheer hell. The hard drive was like my oxygen cylinder. I was in delusioned panic. Ultimately, the hard-disk recovery worked, but had to shell out a hefty amount for the same. Also, of the 20gb storage, I could only recover 1.20gb. So I lost on a lot of cool stuff I had.
So I've been bestowed daddy's computer for the timebeing. So hello XP! I've obviously lost on all my softwares, so I would have to download 151mb of Photoshop. Gross!
Can I shut up already...

I have had my data loss many times.. but I nvr bothered to recover them again, coz I got a seperate hdd with me, in which I take a backup.. you should also keep it.. I take backup like once in a 3weeks.
a long time ago, when I was not keeping seperate hdd, I had a data lost, and i didnt bothered to do data recovery.. all my data lost, heh.. I lost lots of my data.. around 5GB or something.. and if this time I get my data loss then I am lost.. I got almost around more then 300GB of data, and I dont want to loose it.. well, 300gb includes all my data, home, office, and staff data..
anyways.. try out some other recovery options available.. those will work.

Dhaval: In my many years of being on the computer, this has never happened to me- so obviously i was very unprepared.. Definitely will go for a safe option this time around. Separate HD does sound like a good idea but a faulty power supply can destroy both HD's so really, not much sense to it then.
KD: You should take a ghost backup of your system.. simple to restore the darn thing then!
Archy: Shoot, is anyone saved from this torcher. And I thought 'why me?!'

hmm well, dont keep ur both HDD attached all the times.. just attach one HDD and when u want to take backup attack another one..
and well, faulty power wont affect ur another HDD.. as long as you are not accessing it.. turning on ur machine means both ur HDDs are on if both are attached.. but still not both are accessible.. unless and until Operating System is not giving rights.. so its safe :) dont worry about that.. faulty power supply cant touch ur another HDD if its not getting accessed by ur OS.. and even if it is.. then also chances of lossing data is very less.. far lesser then chances with the primary HDD... :)
