Mental Rentals

There's something fishy about Greater Kailash. Not considering the BMW's which leave you wide-eyed and open-jawed and totally not even thinking about the perfectly moulded creations of God of the female kind, there's something strange just waiting to happen.
The last time I was there, some man in weird pants wanted to take my interview. Almost as bad as he'd want to go pee after drinking a dozen glasses of water. So off shot questions about my mental health, how I keep my mind fit, what is my excercise for my brain, if I've ever received psychiatric treatment and if I get negative thoughts.
Although I answered them all in my weirdest, bitterest tone, I wonder if my face would appear in some documentary about demented rude people on the streets...

Cmon GK is not that bad, my dad owns a house there, though we will sell it when we need some cash, no plans to get settled in delhi, my family plans movin to blore or mumbai...

My mom liked Delhi a lot but after she visited Navi Mumbai, she no longer wants to be in Delhi...

Tell me about it. A few months back, the Doctor Morepen healthy morning show people stopped me in CP, asking me how I'd feel if I were a tomato. Tell me, if it were u, what would you say to something as bogus as that?

Lime:

Kushagra: Then I'll stay away from Navi Mumbai, lest I should be upset about being stuck in Delhi ;)

Rohit: Wow.. what an interesting question. I'd say I'd be confused about whether I am a fruit, or a vegetable...

ROFL @ the tomato question :D

erm... suggested answer: "Rotten" :P

Lime, apropos the Hindi version of Bride and Prejudice - there *must* have been a storyline. Only, I guess, in trying to make it a "truly Indian experience", Gurinder Chaddha has probably messed up the execution. And it's not like *that* hasnt been done before, y'know. The book is extremely well executed, with the spotlight firmly on Elisabeth's sisters for a majority of the first half...when reading it for the first time, love between Darcy and Eliza is most surprising. As they say - anyone can come up with ideas. It's the execution that matters.

On a totally different note: there's a Delhi Bloggers Meet at Flames in GK2 on the 21st. 5 pm onwards. http://delhiblogmeet.rediffblogs.com

Drats! Interesting maybe, but it ate my head for those 5 on-AIR minutes. I ended up telling them I'd feel red n juicy n someone 4m behind said rolly-polly, don't ask me.. ;)

Delhi Bloggers Meet, I unno, I don't think there's anyone my age. Must be the youngest Blogger in Delhi right now. You goin Lime?

Hmmmm must have been one experience....:P

I kinda like GK... especially the N-block market.. I used to hang out at the barista over there a lot.. The M-block market though is something else.. god I hate taking my car over there and it is just so freaking crowded... but on the whole.. GK is fun.. though never had wierd people come and ask me questions... ;)

Upset about being in Delhi... i bet u will never be, its a great city, and yup i like it all for the bad reasons, cheap books at Nai Sadak, pirated CDs at Nehru Place and i love to long drive my dads car from Jhansi to Delhi which takes me some 4-5 hrs, if i dont make a stop at McDonalds, and costs my dad 5000 bucks of fuel... ;)

Lime:

Nikhil: Shobha De has a lot to say on the subject of half-witted NRI's trying to make sense of the Indian culture through their own perspectives. Its just not just the execution that has lacked but the whole idea of commercializing it to such an extent that the idea is solely profit-making which has made the movie loose its taste. Thanks for informing about the meet - but, very disappointingly, I have to go elsewhere :( damn...

Rohit: I don't think they will not let you in, Rohit ;) You should go, really!

Archy: Yea, you don't know my answers yet :P

Prashant: Nothing against GK, its just that some people think there are too many dim-witted people there to fool around with an age-old camcorder and a fake microphone :)

Kushagra: Indeed, Delhi's a great place.. and the food - dang.. unmatched! How about DVD's from Palika? Those are a steal!

Woah, they dare, or it'll be their last..! ;)
