I need to know this, for this has taken away my sleep at night. This has torchered my every waking moment and challenged my very existance. Those machines at McDonalds and all those funky kiddie outlets - where the motive is to catch a soft-toy with a single bang of a button, after of course letting your adjust the metal catcher left to right - do they even work?
My cousin was in town lately and he wanted to give it a shot. So the poor kid went through the turmoil of buying game coins and letting them drop into the machine, his eyes gleaming with wild excitement. Apparently, on numerous tries he realized what us adults (ahem?) have taken the liberty to assume - few things are indeed impossible. The catcher can only manage to catch a string hanging from a ragged toy and lets go of it halfway in its pursuit of making you a fool.
In the end remains a disappointed kid scheming how to manage more money for the game coins. So really - I need to know - have you ever succeeded in getting a toy from the darn machine?

Well, It was not me , but a guy ahead of me who won at this game, It was at a ZAP parlor in Delhi, i think....Even i have tried my luck many a times, but it's of no use....the toy always slips back in :( But i think the machine serves well to it's purpose, coz even after loosing again and again, i make it sure to try my luck again whenever i am paying a visit to a games parlor. Human Desires...never do die :)

Oh yes yes many a time, indeed, Ive had awhole collection!!. Its all the game of the machine. The crane, and the toys, everything should be perfect, or just keep waiting till ur drained out of every single rupee. No amount of adjustment, precision or luck can help, its int he crane! :P

Sarthak: Isn't it funny that we'd rather spend a lot of money 'trying our luck' at getting a measly stuff toy when we can buy the same for half the price? I guess human stupidity never ceases too ;) hehe
Rohit: Alright, I bow to thee, o' toy god! You need to teach me the strategy man.. next time my cuz drops in - I plan to be his hero for the day!

well, I have tried it.. and I won also.. but that was after spending almost 50bucks.. that day I was kinda in different mood, I thought lets see how it works and stuffs like that, and I was keep on playing that game.. and finally I won.. and its pretty simple.. dont go fast and dont go slow.. if you can keep the pace medium then you can win.
