"Hello?"
"Can I talk to Puneeta please?", asked a cute voice from the other end of the darned MTNL line.
"Whose this?", I asked, for the heck of it.
"Sakshi"
"She's gone out. Would you like to leave a message?"
"Oh.. she's out?" serious silence. hesitation. "When would she be back?"
"In a little while. She's gone to her friend's place, actually", I lamely retorted.
"Okay..." I think I broke her heart.
"I can give her your message. I can tell her to call you back", I pacified.
"No.. its okay. I'll call after a little time"
"Well, you can leave a message", I pushed.
"Its not that urgent"
"Umm, alright", I gave up.
"Thank You!"
She hung up.
My good deed for the day - I saved the kid from the disappointment of a wrong number. You say its not a big deal, eh? She said thank you, y'know!

Hehe...Did something similar like this earlier...There was some one who'd call almost everyday and ask for some 'mataji' and after a zillion shouts that your mataji doesn't exist here, she called the zillion + 1th time, so I had to tell her that 'mataji' is out to a disco. :P

Kushagra: Naughty? Darn.. I did the world a favour you know - and I'm not even asking for Zee News to come down here and do another daylong interview!
Archy: You know why he/she never called again? Probably couldn't take the shock! I hope you didn't cause some major trouble :P BTW, which disco was it?
