The pink day has finally arrived. While Archie's outlets are saturated with giggling boys stuck to their cellphones trying to figure out which one of the three-fifty-bucks teddy will catch their ladylove's fancy, the female population can be seen in trial rooms forcing revealing clothes down their sloppy figure.
My short trip to Model Town yesterday only confirmed my faith in commercialization and materialism. Its indispensable. A man's love can only be weighed by the number of roses in a bouquet or the country from where chocolates have been imported. It can also be valued further by the age of Champagne or the bill amount of the restaurant. Apparently, love is only directly proportional to money spent. The more you lighten your pocket, the more you love.
Do not confuse the term love with a sentiment or an emotion. Or Valentine's as a celebration of that term. It is only a portrayal of your ownership of your partner as you show him/her off around the town as a medal hanging in your neck.
And so we, the citizens of this cultured country - pledge to celebrate Valentine's Day in its true sense - chocolates, strawberries, champage and all...!
And then of course, tell everyone about it tomorrow...

Commercialization and materialism....
The crux of the situation is
`Yahi sach hai, ki ab,
Pyar mhenga hua'
Have a blast on V-Day

Kushagra: I think the whole Pyaar funda is redefined man - heavy pockets find more love than those who're broke :P

So true. Originally, like every other special celebration, Valentine's day was too marked with gifting chocolates to their lady fair, but now things have gone a little too far. And its only going to worsen in the years to come. But whom to explain that all these are just marketing gymics. hey, us humans are really foolish,...now aren't we?

So, any last month tips, for this desperate BOARD sufferer, from a former 90 percenter? :)

The 10th class board exams are not crucial in your life, they are trivial.
But,I would suggest you to throw your help books out of your home and concentrate on solving questions from previous years' questions papers.Buy a good question bank from the market and concentrate on all the ncert questions.
Never ignore the information given to you in the blue boxes. they are equally important as are your course material.
You should have mastered every word of your sst and science book by now.For maths, solve previous years' questions.Make sure you manipulate your answers in the English paper to meet the requirements of the examiner,do not use extra space.I lost out on a few marks prolly because i found the space allotted too less for answers from the African Safari and the Tribute.
But,always remember to solve your ncert book first before solving the last 10 years'.

Anik: I've already tried all of that out. And I've done my ncert so many times, that I'm beginning to memorise the questions. No point doing the blue boxes (red this time), cuz its very clear in the foreword that they aren't going to be evaluated. And I don't have much to practice on from the 10 yearlies, since the whole course has changed. So I'm pretty much back to where I started from, confused and all messed up.
Just need some really good tips on how to do similar triangles and circles, it seems practice just isn't enough for the 2, every day we come across newer and newer questions on them. And I don't have anything to practice the physics and chem. numericals too, every book seems useless and beyond the scope of the new ncert syllabus. I need big help, and fast....

Patrix: Yep, love is such a personal thing - you can fill a whole truck with chocolates or run a truck over her - its all in the heart ;)
Rohit: Foolish has to be an underestimation. But I think its okay - its all in good spirit :) I won't really mind indulging in some expensive mush myself! :P And about boards, just chill. Thats the best advice I can give u :)
Shonal: I'm really sorry - I still haven't got it, will surely let u know once I do!
