Saying Bu-bye

The farewell was last night. A lot of nostalgia with a severe lack of wet hankies. The sorrows of partying were drowned in loud head-banging punjabi music and saying goodbye was a far cry from sobbing. Perhaps thats a good thing in its own sweet way.
Summarizing it in one blog post would neither be possible nor be fair to my loyalties to my teenage years, so I think I'd save it for another day.
For now - catch glimpses of it here.
And tell me, I looked good - I need to hear that!

Seems like you had a great time there! lol, you were looking quite elegant with that sari. :)

Ya..right. U were looking elegant....but some amount of sadness can be seen on ur face....i may be wrong. But out of ur friends...ur were looking the best.

You were looking good, i m glad you chose a nice sari

nice pics...i remember our farewell...and of course, you look good ...honest :)

Lime:

Rohit: Oh yea - someone should catch the videos I took having a blast! Then you'd know how much fun I really had. Oh well, mine was the only sari there that wasn't lightening the place up.. eveyone else's was all shiny and shimmery :P

Kartik: Not sad, really - just too much to do in a short evening. Saying goodbye to everyone is not an easy job y'no.. you tend to get preoccupied in your thoughts. And so many people trying to capture me in their cameras ;) it tends to get to you.

Kushagra: I am glad you find the sari nice! Such a morale booster..

Patrix: How far back was your farewell anyway?

Thanks everyone for saying 'I looked good' - even though I had to ask for it.. but fishing for compliments is something I am fond of doing. You must be so used to it by now. So thanks again for humoring me :D

You're right, its not a wedding that we'll dress up in gold and silver. It's a farewell. But, we've talked upon it a million times, and yet people don't seem to change.

But you made a good ddecision on wearing a simple yet elegant sari. That's just what my sister's doing on her farewell, except for she's not wearing a sari, a suit I guess, something called a fish cut, who cares. ;)

Lime:

Rohit: I think you should wear what you want if you can carry it off. I know I can't carry a lot of glitter and gold, so I stay away. But someone people do it so smartly, it would amaze you!
BTW - a fish cut is a lehenga, very popular amongst the skinny youth nowadays, preferred more for weddings though. And you should care - when sissy dearest is going to be looked at by all the lad's any brother oughtta care! ;)

hey u looked really good in that black sari.. nice pics..

Lime:

Dhaval: Thank you so much :D I am so full of myself :D

Nah, it doen't bother me at all. And recent new has it, that she's not wearing a lehnga, but something called a 'parallel suit'. Now whatever that is. They should have definitions for these things. :)

One night isn't quite enough for all the memories that our school has given us.Everything seems to have happened too fast and we find ourselves hoping the night goes on forever.Infact,I was told I looked like a zombie on the farewell night.

hmmm..if I remember correctly, it was 4 yrs back...hmmm...good times :)

Lime:

Rohit: Wow, thats a big jump - from a lehenga to a suit! Although, the official dress is the sari, of course. But I guess being unique drives a man/woman into other alternatives.

Sidharth: I can seriously relate with what you said. It all ends so soon. The thirteen years were too long and the five hours were way too short. I don't know about memories school gives us, but the best part of your teenage years are bound within those portals and you owe something back to your past, and its so impossible to sum it all up in such a short time span.

Patrix: That wasn't so darn long back.. you make it sound like an age-old episode :D

Just curious... Was that a Ramola Sikand Sari :P

hmm.. our farewell, I remember even after everybody went away, and there was also some India-Pakistan match going on, we 4 friends were sitting there, outside the school, for hours, talking about the times spent.

And yes, you looked the most elegant and cute of all your friends :) !

Lime:

Linus: Whoa, you need a serious Ekta update dude - Ramola Sikand sari's are loud, bright and quite gawdy. Now if my sari falls under that category - God help you!

The Steppenwolf: Sitting outside the school? If I'd try a thing like that, the DTC buses will sweep me away :P But yes.. talking about old times is very rejuvinating and really provokes tear-jerking moments. Haven't tried one of those sessions yet, but I see one coming soon my way.
And thanks a lot - 'elegance' is the word of the day I guess :D

I'm on a lesser plane of existence,Lime.BTW you look good in black than in those reds and pinks

Lime:

Linus: Personally I don't think I look fine in black. But I guess.. its time to reconsider - *smirk*
