It is commonplace finding fresh actors making big promises to the world of doing 'meaty roles', looking for 'right opportunities' and not 'running around trees'.
One such example is Aman Verma - the man who made it in the media world through the infamous Kyunki Saas... Progressing towards a not-so-great Khullja Sim Sim and eventually landing up in Jadoo - all airing on Star Plus has also starred in a couple of movies including the hit Andaaz.
And then you find this man in a Harpic advertisement cleaning toilets. I could die laughing...

LLLLLOOOOLLLLLL!!!!
ha ha, I literally fell off my chair. Don't ever post stuff too funny to digest! lol. The funniest part in that Harpic ad is that it's all a set up. And tehy're not doing it live or anything, yet they make it look so dumb. The time when those kids walk like dumbos towards the camera as if they're gonna kill the cameraman. And that filthy yellow toilet! yuck man! Even animals are cleaner. lol. If he ever came to my house, I'd hang him upside down and flush him down the pot and he'd whirl down into the MCD sewage pipeline and then i'd make a pose to the camera and say "are wah! yeh to jadoo ho gaya!". Eww! gross me out!
Anyway, thx, I'll ve smiling till I wake up tomorrow. :D

Rohit: I know - can you imagine anyone going around houses begging people to let him clean the toilet. And how can these people let the world know that their bloody bathrooms are so filthy - ugh!
LOL - I could die laughing all over again reading your plans for Uh-man Verma. Man, bollywood is full of loons!

Thats AD...is the worst AD I have ever seen. And Aman Verma doesn't care about his image. He is just busy cleaning toilets....lol. Dont forget the people's reaction when their toilets get cleaned......they laugh like animals.......but Lime....u shouldn't post this.....I mean.....this blog is so clean and dont make us remember that ad......anyways....stars really dont care about their reputation.

Kartik: Hehe.. I think you're right. The ad's not worth it. But the idea is. Its almost humorous to imagine these guys lecturing people on how they want to be different than all the others in the industry and end up doing crazy things like this..! Image is a different thing - I think its a reflection of their desparation..! Paise ke liye kuch bhi!

heh ad is crap.. but you know, it's all marketing strategy.. just see now a days.. Tulsi, and all joining political parties.. so its all abt money which they get.. and that toilet thing.. yuck.. I dont think so anyone would like to keep their toilet like such a yellowish.. well, ya toilets are not clean.. but in ad they saw some extra dirt.. and when it was cleaned.. I think they must have brought the new toilet. In all this ads the ad which I like is Fevi Kwik's ads and Coca Cola ads..

Yeaaaa! Well money is more than image to everyone nowadays. I dont think you have seen his chappal ads? ! :P Well they are not that bad but...he's shown in chappals and stuff @ airports etc...! I hope not....

I don't no does lime's host support the links to the cracks and stuffs like that... so have emailed you.

Shonal Sindhu: Firstly, I'd like to express my utter disregard for pirated stuff. But since you're all tensed up and everything.
Download kazaa, fro kazaa.com, search for "flash mx serial", and download it. Of coarse, it's completely ilegal, like yur copy of flash, and I don't recommend yu do this. And yea, these big companies have stuff installed in their softwares which helps them spy on ppl wrongly using their software. So I request u delete yur copy right away. And don't download any other pirate-ware from kazaa. That good-for-nothing p2 junkie spftware! :)

hmm well, Rohit.. piracy neither I support.. but it's cool.. heh.. and well, flash mx or any software, doesnt have any kind of spy software which lets them spy on the users.. when software is being released it has to go through several process before releasing.. and had to follow some rules.. and abt the Kazaa the spyware it is having is of different kind, which just shows the advertise nothing else.. yeah but you must have heard abt RIAA thing, well that is different, thats RIAA which is breaking into kazaa and finding people who are sharing and stuff like that, theres no any spy software in kazaa to which informs RIAA abt the things..

thats was I was teling Rohit.....that htere is nothing like that in these softwares.......coz if it was there......they would have sued me and Rohit ....u too......coz I'm sure ur copy of Windows is also pirated.....u may not know that.
made cooler by Kartik on December 29, 2003 5:16 PM
well, if that was the case of the spying and sueing then when they sue you, then you have 100% rights to sue the company who sued you for the spying on you using the spy software, becasue then whats the privacy?
made cooler by Dhaval Faria on December 29, 2003 6:57 PM
Dhaval: I am completely aware that there are no spywares in Kazaa. I just don't support illegal peer-2-peering. And yea, these big companies DO collect info of illetgal use. You can see it in various articles on the net. Even by Microsoft.
Dear Kartik, what makes you think that my copy of windows be pirated. I am strictly against piracy. But, curiosity always kills, and it should.
And they can't sue me, because I don't use Kazaa. Neither do I have any softwares illegally installed on my system. I pay for what I want, they don't makes hi-quality software, spending years just so that people can make such use of their hard work.

This is an interesting discussion (although under the wrong topic) - but there is something I'd like to add to what everyone said. Rohit: see its imperative that people use pirated software because no one can really afford the kind of expense a software comes with. You see, thats what makes it popular, and the software industry knows that.
Do you think companies cant shut down crack sites? They can - but they won't. They know that if 100 people want their software, 10 will purchase it and 90 will go for the pirated version. But because of those 90 people, 100's of more people would want to get their software.
In a way, its like advertising cost - just selling expenses. Its not wrong to do piracy - but if you truly think a software deserves the appreciation - go ahead, buy it.
Like a friend say, support freeware - give donations to those who don't want to extract money from your pocket, but only want to make your life easy for no selfish reason - instead of making these multi-million dollar companies richer. Food for thought...

well, lime I do agree that they collect information, but they dont collece information on whether you brought the OS legally or illegally.. well, I got licensed copy of Windows Server 2003, and also two pirated in two pirated one is the just duplicate of original one and another pirated is of the staff members at Microsoft gets which doesnt require activation or any kind of thing.. and when you activate Windows, it sends just a information of your computer hardware, name, organization and stuff... and based on that they are able to find whether the software user using is pirated or licensed, nothing else.. so just use software by cracking it but not by activating it, and you are safe.. well, kazaa do have spyware.. but that spyware is different.. it spy on your browser.. and sees what site you are visiting.. and if some site you visit like compaq.com then the popup ad will appear which is compatetor of compaq.. so its a advertisment thing.. which is provided by actually GATOR.. but Kazaa gets money out of it from GATOR, for bundling spyware.. and about the crack thing.. ya in that case ur 100% sure.. but theres one more reason for cracking sites to keep open.. the reason is that the companies like Microsoft, or any.. says crackers itself to crack so that they can find that thier software is how much crack proof, and by that they try to make their software more and more crack proof. but I hate OPEN SOURCE.. :D

Dear Rohit
Yea..i can understand your feelings buddy but i am sorry i dont think i can afford an original version. Moreover pirated copies are sold openly. If someone here watches....NOW tv...they showed how piracy is killing ppl. Did you know in the gaming industry in Asia there's 90% stuff that is sold is pirated! :O
Well can't do anything bout it!
One more thing...well it's something you typed..i know it was a typo but please my name is Shonal Sandhu, not " Shonal Sindhu " . Just make sure it doesnt happen again, coz it involves my sur name and thats something i dont take easily. No need to say sorry or anything but just make sure it doesnt happen again. :)
made cooler by Shonal Sandhu on December 30, 2003 12:29 PM
Firstly, my apolagies to Shonal. I read your name a bit fast, so got mistaken by the 'i' for the 'a'. Anyways, I don't know what Sindhu means, but if its something bad, then you should know I didn't mean it. Besides, I have the wierdest sirname around. I'm the only one in the world with such a sirname. And litrally no one has ever pronounced it right. So I don't really care.
Lime: Yea, that's why I depend on the GIMP, and not photoshop. Why pay, when you can get 95% features for free! :D
made cooler by Rohit on December 30, 2003 3:05 PM
Just hope someone comes out with a freeware flash. That'll put an end to these $300 softwares, and will in any case be a designer's dream come true!
made cooler by Rohit on December 30, 2003 3:07 PM
Another thing Lime, Piracy for the company may be advertisement cost, but to us faithful karma-believing ppl, who spend so much money on exensive software, its just not fair, If someone else can get it for free, then why shod we hae to pay for it. That's the point. I saw on TV the other day, that if piracy is completely wiped out in the gaming industry, games will become so much cheaper, and they'll p[roduce 10 times more games every year by the profit money. So its a mass movement. Anyway, lets not carry this discussion too far. :)
