Tired Bones

Today was an energy drainer. Been out since seven in the morning, and just entered home sweet home - at 7:15pm. My head's playing Ring-a-roses along with my churning stomach. You can almost imagine what I feel right now... but try all you can, you can't even come close to the exact feeling.
Went to Modern VV today. Participated in Digital Music. I didn't even know how to use FruityLoops - and Vaibhav (my partner in crime) thought he knew until he actually got down to doing it. Those weirdo's had two participants in one team but only one headphone - crazy! How the hell can two people make music with one headphone!? Is the other one supposed to have psychic powers or something.. weird!
The day progressed to a lot of other things and totally drained every drop of energy from my body - and now I feel worse, considering I have Modem to go to tomorrow also. I wish I didn't have to - but dammit, I'm pretty stuck. Have two events tomorrow, and can't back out.
The traffic in Delhi is horrendous. It took us forty five stupid minutes to make it from Vasant Vihar to Barakhamba Road - when it only took us twenty minutes the other way round. I swear man - the traffic is a killer! I wonder what so many people have to do on the roads at the same time?
I am absolutely dying to see Matrix Revolutions - some jerk at school spilled that Neo and Trinity die in the end - and you know what.. that makes me a jerk too - disclosing that on my blog :P
Had anyone seen it yet? If you have, boy - I envy you... grrrrrr...

Well its a personal choice - I won't laugh because I never understood the first matrix, but absolutely loved the second ;) Hence, hoping the third is a blast too like the second.. but I already know its not that good - critics have not praised it much...

Abhi:

hi Gur,
I saw it on friday. Its good. And you're in for a surprise...

I'll post more later. Have to run to mechanics classes

Lime:

Abhi: Surprise? Really.. heard its not a great movie after all... Run back soon :D

Abhi:

It is. its a good movie. only if you don't think about it in a its the last thing remaining sort of a persepective. People don't like the movie because they get a feeling somewhere that the Matrix is a new religion, a new world that they'd all like to be a part of.

I liked the Matrix trilogy. first is the best, second is ok-average (apart from the fight and action sequences) and third is good.

people don't like it becuase they try thinking of it in their preferences. A review of the same by a lady in Mid-day had it given a rating of 2 just because she prefered emotional flicks.

the movie, well its got a good story, nice action sequences, very good special effects, and a couple of minor glitches. what more does a person expect.

its the kind of expectation thing where you didn't like it cuz you wanted it to be even better than the ones that came before it.

spoiler below (don't read if you haven't seen it):
the oracle plays a very important part in the film. (now this can be either only my own thoughts or what the writers had actually put in). she purposely stops herself from thinking and learning what happens later to the Matrix because she knows that Smith will come in and make her one of his own (that replication thing if uve seen part 2).

the action part - a good 15 minutes - when the sentinels enter zion is very good. i just loved those robots pushing in bullets at those mosquito like thingies.

and at the end Neo doesn't die, he lives. i am not very sure abt this but just before the end, They show a view that only Neo sees. (its kind of red - like the heatometer). So i feel that he is alive. his powers have increased, he can stop and destroy things in real life and not just in the matrix.

i do think the people behind it have done a good job...

phew! long post. ;)

Abhi:

just read the comments,

Dhaval, the Oracle doesn't die in the movie.
Gur, like the bike and fight sequence in the second one. waiting for the movie to download on Kazaa.

Lime:

Wow, Abhi, thanks for all that - and I did read the spoiler.. anyway!
According to me, the reason most people didn't like the final part was because many questions were remained unanswered from the first and second part and they were expecting the final to surface with the answers... if you check out the fansite - http://www.matrixmania.com you will find a lot of people greatly disturbed by the outcome of the final part, and asking a lot of questions which confuse them greatly.
I think you're right about expecting much more from the final - and like my dad says - the concept gets mundane by the third movie - doesn't excite as much as the first... I read somewhere and I would agree - that the makers didn't make the Matrix to create a world and answer the questions relating to it - they just made it to give people a new thought-process.. their aim is not to solve these thoughts or give them conclusions.. this is just an introduction. Left open-ended.
Thanks for that post - a lot of good insight on the final part - would try and catch it soon :D
