Due to the lack of anything better to do and an official all-free day today at school, I joined a couple of friends in their Chemistry endeavours. Now, I am a commerce student, and I might know what to debit in the Balance Sheet, but Chemistry is a long-lost love. Hence, when the sheer smell of acids hit my nose, I almost fainted. Almost.
The motive was to make 'Aspirin' - the ultimate headache buster. So off we all set to find the various acids and equipment. A very curious interesting experiment indeed. Had a lot of fun in the process and learnt loads.
Still, knowing their history, one of them had managed to smuggle a 'Dispirin' inside and grinded it into powder incase the Aspirin failed. I think that was a smart move, considering as we gave one last look to the little china heating over the tripod and saw that our Aspirin had supposedly taken up a violet color - we knew exactly what would go before the teacher.
Makes me regret I didn't take science...

Science always facinates me...Although I also took commerce..but still i don't know where to debit what???? science was my first love and will always remain my love..although never did experimented much with physics...but was surely able to build up an internal combustion engine..which blew up the pump..this disqualifying us..from the science fair..I think people around me were much happeir when i opted for science... :{

Opted for commerce/science.. you have me confused (?) :P Anyway - surely, science rules.. but money management is what Commerce teaches you. So if you gotta live, not in logic - but in practical life.. then commerce is your subject!

well, I have taken science only.. and now in comp eng. diploma.. its a quite confusing so dont go in detail.. we used to have a science exibition in the college but I nvr used to participate, because all the time, we had to follow their rules, standards and all those things, so what I do is I do experiments in home, bring all things which is needed and make it.. most of the time I failed.. but its cool to do some experiments, now a days I used to do experiments with the elcectornic circuits, I failed for the first time, but then somehow I managed to make a circuit which checks the intansity of the natural light and depending on that it turns on and off tube light or bulb or whatever electronic appliance is attached with it, so after that success, I tried some more experiments, and currently I am planning to do some odd but amazing type of experiment that is handling all home appliances like fan, tube light, tv, washing machine, with the help of computer, and if I managed to do that which I am sure, I will be able to, then I will add a speech thing in it, so that then I just need to speak out and computer will do it, and when I will success in this thing, then I will do some experiment in security thing, like entracnce by fingerprints, and all things, might be I try with the eye balls :p and and well, the circuit which I had created for the light intensity thing, got burned out, actually I had created that before the diwali and as diwali was coming, so washing room and all things was being done, at that time, water got into the circuit and it burned out when turned on... but didnt got any harm to any appliance as it was not having capacitor, lucky me :D.... and well, my next cool plan is to create a robot, once I complte with the security thing also, then I will try my hands on the robotics, which I had done a long time ago, but robot worked a little but was not doing the perfect work.. but will try it when I get more and more xp in electronics.. I always like to do some research kind of thing, so physics is always my best subject, then biology coz I like to know abt the evidence of human and things like that, and chemistry just for explosion and some magic (changing colors) :p

whoa long list Dhaval. and good too. :) good luck..
I love experimenting. Used to play around with circuits and such back in 5th-6th standard. i remember having this chemistry and electic+magnetic kits which i used to do lots and lots of timepass on. It was very good and fun doing that.
Now in engineering, I have a workshop where im supposed to do welding, fitting, carpentry, Smithy(blacksmiths work), plumbing etc. Its very very interesting but as much tiring as well. i come home totally pooped with my arms paining due to all the hammering and filling etc.

thats cool with the college, but now I am in comp eng. so dont have any this kind of xp.. all on comp and all I have done, and also well I am so busy around with the work, that I dont get time to attend college also.. now till tuseday I wont go to college because of work, so I am like I wont be able to enjoy experiments in college, as we got electronics also so I think we will be electronics experiments too, but not sure I will be able to enjoy them or not.. and well, if I get hands on those experiments, then those experiments I dont think so I will be interested in them, because all are done with me.. the xp with in electornics we will have like soldering (which is really tough), and some other basic stuff... really bores me.. coz already done with them :(.. I need something more, so do things at home on own, and just get shock all the time, when I do it, and also my soldering machine is not proper, it wire is touching with the its body so giving me shock, so I always needs to do soldering by sitting on the chair of wood or somewhere where I cant come in touch with the electon flowing thing, anyways I am planning to buy new soldering machine only, but this is really fun soldering machine.. gives lots of current to me.. so I get lots of power ;) just kidding.. ;)

Hmm..Looking for some explosion in chemistry...here is a very simple formula, Just go in for METAl SODIUM (Na) and H20 mix em and blast away...well about the light project..Dhaval..that was something really brilliant :D....

lol.. nice blasting thing.. will give it a try sometime.. well, about the light, its nothing.. its really simple, costs just 85rs with all things, soldering machine and everything and if u just want to take a cost of circuit then its just in 30-50rs, its very simple to make, main thing works in it is LDR, which is a resistor, which changes its resistance depends on the light, if a light is bright then its resistance is high and oppose the current and if light is dim then its resistance is low, and allows current pass through it.

Whoa Dhaval thats a damn long list of yours! That'll make an excellent first blog entry btw ;) You give me a major-time complex, all you people - I don't know crap about electronics or science, except for the fact that a particular switch in the house makes a particular tubelight light up :P Thats as far as my limited knowledge goes.. Dhaval sounds like a bigtime robotics guy or something - who knows a hell lot about what he's doing. Impressed - way much!
Abhi & Sarthak I guess Dhaval has loads to teach all of us - and as for me, I am going to jump into deep oblivion and pretend as if Dhaval is some sort of superhuman... with current running through his entire body :P

heh yeah actually yesterday I was in a little different mood, coz got a one software deal final, and had to reply them through email, so I was writing email, and along with that I was checking ur site and commenting.. so the commenting section went like a email to me, and I was like just go on writing and writing, and at the end I realize that it was a comment section.. lol, nah.. I am not a bigtiem robotics guy.. I just like programming all the time, even if I go into robotics then I will choose programming section in the robotics then the assembling or electronic part.. but I do electronics only sometimes and that too I started that in diwali only, I had no software project that time, and I had beed to bangalore like a 3 months b4 the diwali so from there I brought one book, electronic projects for begineers so I tried out that book and created that light thing, and got a little more interest and thought to do more and more technical things, so searched the internet and found really interesting things, like controling appliances through the computer and all sort of things, so I am gona give it a try turn by turn and will see.. and hey now u also common dont call me that.. coz already from MouthShut, davieboy and samsat calls me robot, ok I agree that u didnt called me robot, but as u said electric current flows through my body that mean by robot, ya human also got the electrons moving around but they are known as in different terms.. anyways.. ya I can teach all how I created those things, and other things... ok, now ur this blog gave me a little more boost towards the electronics, so I may start making other electronic circuit very soon... ;)
ANY ONE HERE? TO JOIN ME? OR WANT TO LEARN IT?
